Guest Blog - Sea Donkey's Cook Strait Swim

Once in a while, a person or a story REALLY catches your attention. This is one such person and one such story. Adrian Sarchet, a swimmer from Guernsey made a film about his attempt to swim the North Channel. Now, I’m really bad at sitting still long enough to watch a movie, I inevitably end up multi-tasking and doing something on my computer whilst watching on and off. Even though I already knew the outcome of this swim, the production was so good that I was 100% engaged by the film throughout. I would highly recommend watching it. Find out more about that film here.

So, when I heard that Adrian is at it again and now is attempting the notoriously difficult Cook Strait swim, well, I wanted to know more. This is not only a difficult swim, but the final in Adrian’s quest to conquer the Oceans Seven challenge.

Read on to find out more in Adrian’s own words.

Read on to the end to see his fundraising link - please give what you feel you can. You’ll also find details for tracking the swim.
